Hello!
Welcome to Jenn Binder Photography. My name is Jenn Binder. I am a freelance, self-taught photographer working in and around the Fox Cities in Wisconsin. I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Oshkosh. I have always had a creative side. Loved art class in high school, and went on to earn a degree in Interior Design.
Jenn Binder Photography began the summer of 2006. I really fell in love with the art of photography while being on the front side of the camera during my own wedding. I had such a great time with our wedding photographer, and noticed the enjoyment that she was having as well. Shortly after we got married, I bought my first camera. A Kodak Easy share with a memory card that was a 60 times smaller then what I use now! With my background of interior design, I feel like I have that creative niche in my brain. I love the skill of photography, the constant learning, and the fact that no two sessions are the same. I have since become an award winning photographer. Winning awards in the newspapers, and also to have my “Morning Dew on a Spider web” published in the Anchor Bank 2014 Calendar.
I photograph everything from maternity to birth sessions… Engagements to weddings… High school seniors to families… I have done special events, and fundraisers, fishing tournaments and First Holy Communions. However, my favorite photography session, to date, has been when I was asked to capture the moment of one of our soldiers returning home after completing his tour. It was a complete surprise to him that I was there. Talk about an awesome experience, “Toe-curling”, “goose-bump-raising”, and “hair-on-the-back-of-your’s-neck-standing-up” kind of moment! When the soldiers walked in the room, the families were roaring with excitement and emotion. Then just when I thought this moment could not get any better, I followed the family to the 6 year old daughter’s school to surprise her with Daddy. That surpassed the excitement and emotion from earlier that morning tenfold. It was such an honor to have been asked to be a part of such a wonderful time, capturing it forever for that family.
In this world, you never know what to expect. Living each day like it is your last, is such a true statement. Don’t wait until the Christmas tree is put up to have your family picture taken. Don’t wait until the fall leaves change. Let me capture the moments of your weekend family picnic, or your child’s first birthday. Every moment is special and should be displayed not just in your memories, but on your walls at home.
Don’t let your children grow up to be jpegs! With every push of my shutter button, I am making those memories last forever. I take photographs for you to hang on your wall, so that every time you look at them, you are taken back to that moment and smile. Go and look around here, or check out my facebook page for images from my most recent sessions www.facebook.com/jenn.binder.photo
Thank you for taking the time to look. Please feel free to email or call me to capture that special moment for you and your family. I look forward to hearing from you.
